Wetland Conservation & Habitat Restoration
Conducted landscape, encroachment, and biodiversity studies at Kaliveli Wetlands (Pondicherry), documenting rare bird species and submitting conservation reports to the Forest Department highlighting its ecological importance. Contributed research and documentation that supported the recognition of Kaliveli Wetlands as a protected bird sanctuary, marking a key milestone in wetland conservation. Participated in long-term ecological observations of migratory bird populations and wetland ecosystem health in collaboration with conservationists and wildlife researchers.
Led habitat restoration efforts at Ousteri Lake Bird Sanctuary by creating artificial nesting islets, which were successfully adopted by migratory birds for nesting and breeding.
